Hello fellow crafters,
Welcome and thank you for being part of Creating The Crafty Life group. I'm sure you are enjoying the posts and all of the many activities in the group.
As part of the Trick or Treat Youtube/Blog Hop, I am also having a giveaway, but you do have to do a little something to be entered into the random draw. All we ask is that you leave a positive comment on each members' y/t or blog, like each post and subscribe to our channels. (Please stay subscribed, to be fair to all who belong to our group and channels) I hope you like the Hallowe'en Tag that I made, honouring Harley Quinn, of the Death Squad Gang. My family are big fans of the Marvel heroes and some of the villains.
Have a great night, happy crafting and thank you for stopping by. If you'd like to see more of what I love to make, the pictures can be found on my page on CCL.
Prayerful hugs,
Germaine

Yay, school is back in session!!
With Jacob starting back to school, and all the new bodies there, he brought home a sinus cold and then gave it to me. I have had it for 8 days, but I think the worst is over, although I still get a pain in my head when I cough.
I have been busy making cards which were meant to be for a swap. I got carried away and made them thicker than expected, so I had to make a few more that aren't so thick. But I think they are quite nice.

September came too early
As much as I love Fall, and really appreciate the cooler nights and days for my hot flashes, I am not ready to say goodbye to the long, sunny days. The sun is definitely my blues chaser and I am very aware of the distance it is from our little world already. I loathe having maybe 9 hours of daylight.
With school starting again, it brings some much needed scheduling for me, and for Jacob. His summers are very relaxed and easy. This summer he did have some work at a garlic farm minutes away from our home and he liked having spending money. His friend helped him set up a PC so gaming would be easier than using his laptop.
Does anyone else have a problem with their family's not putting their stuff away or expecting Mom/wifey to clean up after them? I am getting to the end of my rope with this problem and just feel like throwing everything around! Of course I won't because I would be the one doing the cleaning up!
Anyway...God is at the wheel, not me. The weekend was mostly a craft fest for me and I made quite a few pieces. I am going to enter the Magnolia Tilda in a challenge.

July came in hot and heavy, with some of the highest temperatures on record here in Canada. And I have cleaned a huge amount of my backyard gardens!! Not so much weeding, but digging out the clay that was sold as topsoil a few years ago. The best part of being able to garden again is working with the flowers that I brought from Mom's garden and thanking her, albeit spiritually, for teaching me everything that she knew about gardening and life and how to be a great Mom. Though at the time we didn't realize it was life lessons, it was just part of life.
And now we are at the halfway mark of August, the weather has changed to tell us Fall is around the corner and I am not done with summer yet. How rude!
Another good "thing" that happened is this summer is that our son, Jacob, got a job about 7 minutes from our home on a garlic farm. We live in the country about 20 minutes from the nearest city. This is his first job, and his employer's are very happy with him. He is very different in employee mode than high school teenager!! Which is very reassuring, to me. I do pray every morning to God, for all of us with teenagers in our lives that we are given extra patience and the right words to help them through what can be very emotional and frustrating times.
So I will end this post and be back another day, hopefully not too far in the future to add some pictures of the crafts I have been doing.
Prayerful hugs to all,

Today, I finally have a card to enter in the Magnolia challenge! I have been trying to get my body and mind to work together enough do this for over 6 months!! This is my birthday card for my niece and Godchild. I love Magnolia almost as much as I love her. There are so many wonderful, wickedly creative artists who inspire us with their fabulous "children"!
I hope you like her as much as I do.

Blessed with tiny miracles
Since my last post, my family has had two baby girls! One was born on her Mom's birthday in March and the other little miracle was born a few weeks early on April 17, but both are healthy and sweet! Their Moms are sharing their joy with all of us in pictures.
