Holy moly, time goes by so fast!! It's almost mid July. Our winter was the longest and most snow for decades. Now we didn't even have a Spring, it went from "Hey, the snow is almost gone" to 30 Celcius (86 F) from June!! I didn't even get into my flower beds because it has been too hot. But after this winter, I am definitely not complaining! I finally got my tomato and Jalapeno peppers in my raised bed yesterday! We had a really big rain storm with thunder and lightening on Friday afternoon and overnight, but the garden was dry as a bone. We watered it this afternoon, Sat.
I have been busy crafting my heart out since winter and I usually do 2 or 3 swaps with one of the online groups, so it gives me many ideas! I really enjoy being on the DTs of Angie's Digital Stamps groups; Getcreativechallenge blog and Simplycreatetoo blog.
I have been chronically ill from Guillain Barre Syndrome since August 2000, and one of the worst symptoms is how my brain works, it does not always remember how to do things. That is the main reason I play Candy Crush Saga, but it still can't figure out more than one move!! I have a hard time remembering how to get the images from the pages for the DT's.
Here are a few more things I have made since my last post...I hope that my creations give you the crafting bug, whether it's paper, material, wood or anything else your heart desires.

June 3, 2019. We had such a long, cold winter. Finally the trees are green and the iris's are almost ready to bloom. But there was an inch of snow just 20 minutes away overnight and a tornado 1 1/2 hour away last evening. Crazy weather! Oh, and it has rained almost every day for the past month. I want to get into my gardens to clean the grass away, but it is so wet from all of the rain!
During winter I started walking with our dogs. We have a trail in our bush of 1 kilometer and I began doing just one lap for a few weeks. We finished walking 3 times around. When the weather melted the puddles, I couldn't go in the bush anymore. Anyway, eventually I will get into the yard work.
But as for crafting, I have been doing a lot over winter. My habit of sitting in my Lazygirl spot in the living room has changed to having my morning coffee or tea in my craft room and setting up my laptop right away beside my desk.
Had to interrupt to watch "How to Train Your Dragon The Hidden World", the latest one. (spoiler alert; get the Kleenex!) I am a big softie for all of the kids' movies! I have all of the HP discs and watch the movies every year, at least once.
Here are some of the things I have been creating...
These were gifts or for swaps up to and including December.

I cannot believe we are entering the last quarter of 2018! ?
Oh well, this year has been a good one, I guess. We haven't had any additional illnesses or deaths in our families'. My health is about the same, I think. The worst times are when I get acute nausea and have to go to bed and still have the usual chronic pain due to nerve damage.
Because I don't have full autonomic functions, I have to constantly give my body intructions from my brain and it takes a toll. I have found it less painful to brush my teeth with my eyes closed so I "see" where I am brushing and not getting distracted. Enough of the health stuff for today.
I wanted to show you what I made for the front of our house. It is made with the insulated cardboard that comes with our food each week from goodfood.ca. What is great about it, is that it gives a wonderful pattern to a flat surface and I think it looks fab!! I found 95 feet of wired green fibre for $5.00 at a store that is closing at the end of the year. When I bought it I didn't realize it was already wired!!! Bonus for me. I used good old fashioned wax crayons of different shades of orange to get a better colour. And then I used a wide Copic orange marker that I bought on sale a few years ago, and found it gave a better look if you use the Copic after the crayons. I did glue a wire hanger on the back, but it didn't hang straight and then when the wind came up, my creation was too light to stay on the wall. So I used a couple of good old fashioned screws and my trusty drill to ensure it won't fly away and break. I liked the way it turned out so much that I made 2 more pumpkins, but I don't know what I will do with them.
We shouldn't only use our new paints and gel pens to create the look that we want. I hope you also look for new "canvases". Prayerful hugs, Germaine

Where has the time gone?
It's already November 14th! For Heaven's sake, we are under a month and a half until Christmas.
And I haven't made any Christmas cards yet! I still have hope for a few at least this year, but the time just somehow runs away on me. I am running even later than last year in setting up my family's Christmas pot luck supper. Oh well, we'll manage it somehow.
I haven't entered into many blog hops, but the last one was Swedish House Crafts and they had so many wonderful DT's showing off their craft rooms or their craftings. Some of these ladies craft rooms are gloriously organized and so immaculate. If I was younger, I'd probably try to organize and tidy mine up, but those days are gone and I need to see everything I have!! It's an organized mess! And I can't change much or I'll forget where I put it, now.
On a serious note though, I have always been an excellent speller, but lately I have forgotten how to spell some words; obstacle and quiche, and it took me a day for the the correct one to come to mind.
I'm going to be 57 in January, ewww, it's even worse in print! Oh well, nothing I can do about time.
Anyway, I won a credit of 10 pounds, about $15. Canadian, to the Swedish House Crafts store! And I can't wait to spend it, so I'll close now. These are a few things I have made recently and I'll post again soon. Happy crafting and prayerful hugs.
